Who is the data controller
Tze Peng Kevin Lim t/a Unlock Your Music is the data controller for personal data collected through Unlock Your Music. Contact: support@unlockyour.music.
Personal data we collect
- Account data — email address, hashed password (or Google sign-in identifier), user ID.
- Subscription data — plan, status, billing period, cancellation flag.
- Billing data — handled entirely by Paddle. We receive customer and subscription identifiers, never full card details.
- Product usage — feature toggles and error reports needed to keep the Service running.
How we use it
- Provide, secure, and improve the Service.
- Process subscriptions and grant access to paid features.
- Send transactional messages (sign-in, password reset, receipts) — not marketing.
- Comply with legal obligations.
Who we share it with
- Paddle — payment processing, tax, invoicing (Merchant of Record).
- Supabase — authentication, database, and infrastructure hosting.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
We do not sell personal data.
If you use microphone input, audio is analysed live on your own device to detect the notes you play. It is never recorded, stored, or sent to us.
Retention
Account and subscription data are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your data, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact support@unlockyour.music.
